Westminster Children & YouthDiscover and Connect with God
A Joyful Home
Our vision is to be a Joyful Home where any young person will discover and connect with God.
Those words have formed the foundation for the decisions we have made. We desire our children and youth to learn how to be actively engaged in our worship services as they discover and connect with God.
KidsConnect is from 9:00-9:45am where infants – 12th graders explore the lessons of the Bible in fun, age-appropriate ways.
After kids go up front for the children’s message they are invited to sit in the Place of Discovery where adult volunteers (Pioneers) will engage them in activities, questions, assignments, and other explorations to discover during the message.
This is our culture – we value our kids and youth in our service exploring a relationship with God, their peers, and other adults that care about them. We invite you to join our team anytime!
Most of our engagement with elementary age children is during Sunday School. Before worship, kids have the opportunity to have bible study and do crafts in a way that makes their time with us fun and fulfilling!
Along with the Emerge Youth, we like to take our fun and learning on the road with trips to the pumpkin patch, Boom Shaka, and Mariner’s games!
During this COVID-19 season, we are firmly committed to the safety of our church family.
On the Sunday of the month, we invite families with children and youth to the church for a quick socially distanced service and small group connection.
Are you in Junior High or High School? Consider joining our Emerge youth group. Emerge helps you discover how to discover your own faith and will walk with you while you grow into adulthood.
Emerge is a safe place to be who you are while you are maturing spiritually. You’ll create fun relationships with people who care about you as a unique person.
Emerge activities include , games, mixers, dinners and family discussions. During our regular meetings, be prepared to answer questions like “What was one thing you learned today, one thing that challenged you today, and what do you look forward to tomorrow?
Whether you play basketball or an oboe, our leaders love to show their support. Don’t be surprised if one of them shows up to cheer you on!
