Although we call it “Blanket Sunday,” this project has included tools with the blankets for several years, and is a part of the larger work of Church World Service, which helps families around the world recover from disasters and rebuild their lives and communities. We will be taking an offering on Sunday, February 28th to continue supporting CWS. If you have any questions, please contact Beverly Ramsey.
Our first study on Lent was wonderful! Fantastic soup was served, courtesy of the Elizabeth Currie Circle. Families were introduced to an easy way to have home studies as well as given materials to help understand the meaning of Lent, including handouts for children. This study will continue to meet Wednesday nights from 5:30 PM to 6:30 PM in the Carr Community Center through March 16th. Join us!
If you are struggling with pain, hurt and loss, you are not alone. The WPC Grief Support Group is a place where you can find help and comfort while dealing with the effects of grief. Here you won’t find platitudes or well meaning words; instead, we share our stories while caring for one another. Together we learn how to deal with the loss and how to find the new normal after tragedy stops us in our tracks. Come join us on Thursday, the 25th of February at 6:00 pm. The Giffey Room is downstairs in our main building, to the right of the Prindle Street entrance.
